Ares Antoyan worked all winter in the privacy of his studio in the Drôme des Collines, in France. With passion. For an exhibition at the pretigious Tokyo Convivion, famous guest house in the artistic district of Minami Aoyama. The pallette from which escape the magical gold, jewels, lace, laether like patina, were born 19 admirable women who will soon join their sisters, jealously sought after by collectors around the world. Wild, sleek, modern, timeless, beautiful ladies are waiting now their master, who will join to present his work in late February in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Ama is opening the ball. Tempting and sweet as a blossom and royal golden sun symbolizes the nation of Japan. They are calles Ama or Berenice, Lucretia, Rachel and Theresa. For the art critics, Antoyan's women are like Baudelaire's creatures. Women's physical presence, stubborn, engaging. They could walk the catwalks of international fashion, as they are engaged with life.

Women of the World
Antoyan Ares, son of the painter Antoyan Kero, was born in the United States but livs in France since 1981. He painted women, " which are like a crystal ball in wich the painter sends his emotion, in the eternal struggle that confronts the painter and the media, so the canvas is the matrix of the work."
They are red, brown or blond. They are very cosmopolitan and share a chic audacity of humor. All these women have beautiful names, "because the name is often an element like architecture that creates an association between a representation and imagination."
Light plays in their hair, focuses on the shell of a breast, the roundness of a knee. The transparency of a stocking, a reflect on the skin : the painter captures everything that tries to convince women that seduction lies in the details.The importance of the little thing that does everything. When suggested that he would make a great couturier, Ares Antoyan replies : " I do not have the patience to manage a creation on a daily bassis, as exciting as it may be with women, because painting for me in a personal and solitary approach, ( unfortunatly !), and anyway, my creatures overwhelm me enough."
In February, 27, 28 et 29, the beautiful ladies will occupy an entire floor of Convivion of Tokyo, famous guest house in the trendy and artistic district of Minoma Aoyama, and the artist will there to talk about his passion.
